How can
you get there?
"A proper diversity strategy transforms an
organization to the Age of Equity where people are treated
fairly."
Diversity at Work
Stage Four focuses on establishing how you will reach the
goals set out in the Opportunity Stage. The
effectiveness of any successful organizational change
initiative depends on a systematic, transformational plan
based on reliable consistent data. This requires a
tactical map fully aligned and integrated with your
organization's vision, goals, and strategies.
Your transformational plan is unique to your organization
and is designed to meet the goals and timetables of your
Equity Index™ set out in Stage Three. Every
transformational plan has four key imperatives.
- Build a Coalition of Champions: Establishing a
credible infrastructure is essential to direct the change
you want to see. This includes the requisite power,
expertise, leadership, and reputation that your employees
will relate to and support.
- Communicate Your Vision and Strategy:
Communicating your vision and strategy to all employees
creates a common understanding of your direction and
motivates actions that drive the
transformation.
- Quickly Capture "Low Hanging Fruit": Major
organizational change takes time, so you need to capture
some short-term wins. Start with actions that do not
require long-term analysis but signal visible and
unambiguous results.
- Create "Strategic Termites": Organizational
transformation occurs from within when many employees are
mobilized together to produce the changes leading to a more
equitable environment. Creating strategic termites
comes with effective education that improves awareness,
knowledge, and skills.
At TWI we offer products and services to support all
aspects of your transformation plan.
Once you have established goals and strategies, you need an
action plan for reaching your goals. In Stage Four, you
build your action plan.
